The Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Burna Boy has been named the most-streamed African artist globally on the popular music streaming app, Deezer.
Nigerian international singer, rapper and songwriter Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy has been named the most-streamed African artist on Deezer, following another successful year for the African Giant.
This was announced on their Twitter page on Friday, November 27th, 2021.
Recall, Burna has had an incredible year, despite the fact that he has yet to release a new album. The singer received his first solo Grammy nomination earlier this year for his 2020 album, Twice as Tall, before being nominated again only days ago for the 2020 edition.

This is now Burna Boy’s third consecutive nomination at the Grammy Awards.
For the third time in a row, the African giant has been nominated for the prestigious Grammy Awards, after being nominated in the category of “Best Global Music Performance” for a song titled “Do yourself,” which he made with Angelique Kidjo.
Announcing that the Nigerian singer was their Most Streamed African artist globally for the year, Deezer wrote via their Twitter page;
