So far, the year 2021 has been a year filled with top-notch music collaborations and hit songs from Nigerian artists.
Artistes linking up to produce a song is a normal thing but being able to produce a hit song is another.
We’ve been blessed with some collaborations this year which resulted in a hit song and we still can’t get enough of these songs.

Wizkid – Essence Remix feat. Justin Bieber & Tems
Thanks to its new remix with Justin Bieber, Wizkid’s “Essence,” featuring Tems, zooms into the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, no Nigerian song has ever climbed to that level.
Justin Bieber expressed his gratitude to Wizkid for allowing him to jump on the song of the summer.
We all thought no song would beat Ojuelegba but Essence has benched that song by making numerous history.
Ladipoe – Feeling feat. Buju
Easily one of Nigerian best collaborations to come out of this year. There would be no Buju without this song this year because he was mainly the top gainer from this collaboration. And this surely Ladipoe’s biggest song in his career so far.
With one of 2021 best hooks and catchy bars to match, it is no surprise that “feeling” has topped charts and airwaves for months and till now.
Chike – Running To You feat. Simi
Chike had a wonderful 2020 with his album Boo of the Booless toping chats and the album is regarded as one of the best bodies of work in 2020.
He featured Simi early this year to produce a remix to one of the hit songs on the album Running to you.
As usual, Simi blessed the song with her beautiful voice, and Chike whose voice is also one of a kind together produced one of the best collaborations so far this year. With the song, Chike had his first Billboard chart entry.
Blaqbonez – Bling feat. Buju and Amaarae
Bling is another mad jam we can’t get enough of this year.
Blaqbonez released his album, “Sex Over Love” in 2021 with “Bling” as its lead single.
The song was blessed with Buju and Amaarae spicing it up with grace tune and vibe.
Award-winning Nigerian talent, Teni the Entertainer, joined forces with Davido to produce one of the best songs this year titled ‘For You’.
“For You” was the lead single from Teni’s debut album “Wondaland” and it’s regarded as one of the best love songs so far this year.
Davido has usual didn’t disappoint with his delivery as he perfectly fits in with the flow of the song.
Wizkid – Mood feat. Buju
The most fashionable and renowned act, Wizkid gave the audience a new soundtrack “Mood” featuring Buju who gave in his best.
Off the Made In Lagos project, here is a new song titled “Mood” which features Nigerian rave of the moment, Buju. “Mood” was produced by serial hitmaker, P2J.
Adekunle Gold – High feat. Davido
Nigerian superstar, Adekunle Gold bursts onto the scene with another possible hit tune titled “High.” featuring one of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats artists, Davido
The seasoned vocalist and vibe bringer is well-known for his versatility in his music, which spans two genres: R&B and Afrobeat. He is also noted for his Afropop and highlife influences.
Burna Boy & Don Jazzy – Question
The leader of Spaceship Entertainment and a Grammy winner, Burna Boy has teamed up with a prominent Nigerian producer and singer-songwriter Don Jazzy to deliver one of the year’s most anticipated collaborations.
The duo collaborates on this possible smash single titled ‘Question,’ which Burna Boy feels will reach the top of the charts in a short period of time.
Crayon – Too Correct feat. Rema
Talented Marvin singer songwriter popularly known as crayon come through with brand new song titled too correct feauturing Rema.
