Wizkid
Singer Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, became the first African musician to sell out a concert at the Royal Albert Hall in the UK.
The groundbreaking event took place on September 29, and it is no doubt one of the most iconic highlights in the singer’s career.
The concert sold out two days before the actual event, Wizkid has joined the likes of iconic stars, The Beatles, who also sold out the iconic venue.
The Baba Nla star also sold out the Skyway Theatre in Minnesota, on October 6, 2018. He is the first African artist to sell out the theatre.
He was also rewarded with a day set aside to celebrate him, called Wizkid Day.
Wizkid has sold out the O2 Arena for the 5th time.
Davido
Nigerian superstar, David Adeleke is popularly known as Davido is set to make history yet again as he announces his second concert to be held at the o2 Arena in London.
The “Fem” crooner made this announcement via his Instagram, adding that the concert will hold next year and promises to be fully loaded.
According to Davido, it feels like yesterday that he performed at the Arena and made history by selling out the 25,000 capacity hall in 2019.
The talented singer has also sold-out concerts globally.
It was reported that Davido has sold-out concerts in the UK as well as in South America
Burna Boy
Burna is no doubt one of the most talented artists to come out of Nigeria. His style of music as well as the quality of his performances perhaps makes him an underrated artist in Nigeria.
However, the singer seems to be appreciated more outside the country than in Nigeria. Burna sold out his concert which was held at Brixton Academy, O2 Arena in London which was held on October 7.
The crowd could not get enough of his performance as they sang to his hit song, Ye, among others.
Burna Boy also sold out 20,000 capacity O2 arena.
Tiwa Savage
The pretty singer is no doubt one of Nigeria’s biggest female artists.
However, she is taking steps to be recognized internationally.
The mother of one recently sold out her concert at the Indigo O2 arena in London, to the joy of her fans.
