Fast Rising Artist, Ruger has opened up on how he came into contact with D’Prince and got signed to Jonzing Records.
Ruger has disclosed how he was discovered and made famous by artist and famed talent manager Charles Enebeli, also known as D’Prince.
The “Bounce” crooner claims he used to work as a phone repairer at Computer Village, a major technological marketplace in Nigeria until D’Prince discovered him on Instagram and signed him.
In His words;
“I used to work in Computer Village, repairing phones and all, so in my spare time, I just do freestyles and post it on Instagram. Thank God for the internet, it has made it easy for talents to be discovered.
All of a sudden I just saw a DM from D-Prince. He was in America at that time with Rema on tour, so he told me that he’s coming back very soon and that he wants to start working with me.
I was just like “is this it?” let me sleep small and wake up. I slept and my sister woke me up, she was using my phone that time; she told me that D-Prince texted again that he’s coming on this day,” he said.

He added that what made him believe D-Prince was serious about everything was that he (D-Prince) didn’t even wait to get home before calling him to start coming to the studio.
He rang him as soon as he got to the airport to meet him at his (D-Prince) studio to record, and that started their bond. Ruger is now signed to Jonzing world, an imprint of Mavin Records; the same record label that manages Rema. Ruger is best known for his hit single ‘Bounce.’
