If you are to name ten producers who have been influential in the growth and expansion of Afrobeat in Nigeria and beyond, Sarz would top that list.
With a career spanning more than a decade, Sarz has been instrumental to the Afrobeat Movement, working with artists both in Nigeria and outside the shore to create quality music that stamps itself on one’s mind.
He has been the go-to guy that practically every big wig in the Nigerian music industry meet to help create and produce instant hits.
In terms of Afrobeats, Sarz has proven that he can hold his own in any setting as proven by his work with a number of the emerging best-in-class Afrobeats talents.
Even though he’s worked with almost all of them, this is a producer that doesn’t require an A-Lister on his beat to make iconic projects.

In an interview, Niniola revealed how her and Sarz’s music relationship started and how Sarz indirectly became the influence behind her becoming Nigerian Queen of Afrohouse.
Their first work together, “Ibadi” was what set the balling rolling and led them to churn out more hit songs like “Sicker”, “Magun”, “Maradona”, ‘Designer“, e.t.c

Niniola is one of the many artists whose career Sarz have directly or indirectly helped shaped. He did this with Wurld who was more of an Alte and R’n’B guy when he was first known in the industry.
Things changed in 2019 when Sarz and Wurld released the “I Love Girls with Trobul” EP. The project was a brilliant display of dexterity and versatility.
The hit song, ‘Mad” ff the project had people in a chokehold in 2019/2020 and will go down as one of Sarz’s best production.
While you would think that would be all, Sarz launched another attack with industry newcomer, Lojay on the ‘LV N ATTN’ project.

The project wasn’t like “I Love Girls with Trobul“, rightfully so as it was another dimension entirely. Sarz has the unique ability to help to shape a path for an artist that perfectly suits him and this is what he does with Lojay.
The project is largely successful due to two things, Sarz’s beat wizardry and Lojay’s songwriting skills. I mean ‘LV N ATTN’ has already given us perfect catchy lines like ‘You win the ass cheek ballon dior’ in 2021.
Sarz is a fantastic creator as every time he comes back, it’s to drop one more big hit every time. He understands just the right injection to give Afrobeats a new electric charge, like a seasoned nurse.
While the industry is full of seasoned and skilled producers who have produced quality material, not every producer can claim of being able to commit to a linear growth strategy that sees him redefining the bounds of Afrobeats with each new project he works on the way Sarz does.
Sarz’s constant willingness to go further and try new things is one of his strengths and he doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon, based on his current pace.
