M.I Abaga ft Oxlade-All my Life
M.I Abaga has incredible chemistry with singers, and his 2021 collaboration with Oxlade is proof.
Oxlade reels listeners in with his sensual voice on the hook and chorus while M.I makes solemn promises to his love interest in the verses.
Ice Prince ft Oxlade- Kolo
2021 is proving to be Oxlade’s year. His feature on Ice Prince’s “Kolo” is a melody one never knew was necessary. Ice Prince reminds us why he is one of the coolest Nigerian Rappers in the industry with his lyrics.
Ladipoe ft Buju- Feeling
“Feeling,” one of 2021’s most popular songs so far, is another sign that Ladipoe is on his way to claiming his proper place in the music industry. In 2020, he featured Simi on “Know You” which was one of the biggest songs of that year.
This year, he shows there is no stopping his ascension with the Buju-assisted “Feeling“. The song has a catchy chorus that is going viral on video sharing platforms like Tiktok and quotable bars that reminds one that Ladipoe is nobody’s mate.
A-Q ft Chike- Breathe
A-Q has been in the rap scene for a long time but until recently, he was only seen as an underground rapper. In 2020, he released that amazing “God’s Engineering” album, this year he releases an EP titled “Golden“.
“Golden” is a great body of work and one of its best is “Breathe” which features Chike. In this song, A-Q addresses his career struggles in the rap scene and how he just wants to breathe. The song is both a mix of melancholy lyrics and soulful vocals on the part of Chike.
Laycon ft Mayorkun- Verified
Laycon’s Popularity in the music scene is thanks to his historic win at the 2020 Big Brother Naija.
His 2020 song, “Awa Fierce” and his EP, “Who Is Laycon” did well while he was still in the show. However, given past experiences with artists who have been part of the BBN show, many people were sceptical about Laycon’s abilities.
In 2021, he released his album, “Shall We Begin” and while the album contains gems, one of fans’ favourite is the Mayorkun-assisted “Verified“. Mayorkun as usual held the fort down with catchy hooks and lyrics.

Blaqbonez ft Buju, Amarae- Bling
Blaqbonez is another rapper who is getting his flowers after being underground for a while. The rapper was able to gain an audience after using humour to promote his songs, “Haba” and “BBC“.
He released his “Sex over Love” in 2021 which have received positive feedback and even got picked by Rolling Stones as one of its best albums of the year so far. The album is led by the mid-tempo tune, “Bling’ which features Buju and Amaarae.
Zoro ft Oxalde- African Girl Bad
Released early in the year, Zoro and Oxlade pay homage to the African Girls and their power on “African Girl Bad“.
Oxlade in his usual manner serenade listeners with his enthraling voice and Zoro rap about the various beautiful women Africa boast of. In a way, this is a girl anthem.
Zlatan ft Davido, Mayorkun- Cho Cho
“Cho Cho” is Zlatan’s first single of the year. Featuring Davido and Mayorkun, the song is one of the trending club bangers. Filled with Lamba over a drum-heavy beat produced by P.Priime, the song has been dominating charts since its release.
Laycon ft YKB- Fall For Me
Laycon released “Fall For Me” alongside another song, “Wagwan” but the former was well accepted by fans. The MVP of the song is YKB who captures listeners with a catchy hook and chorus. The two have a chemistry that makes it another favourite on this list.
Vector ft Goodgirl LA- Early Momo
Vector is another rapper on this list whose song features an underground singer. In “Early Momo“, the rapper preaches Love and Sex on a mid-tempo beat. Goodgirl LA makes one falling in love with her voice. “Early Momo” is a perfect fit for a sex playlist.
