Nigerian artiste and Activist, Seun Kuti took to social media to clarify his statements on the Grammy that led to the dragging he received from Wizkid FC for excluding Wizkid on his Grammy recognition list.
It could be recalled that Seun Kuti during his last IG live stated that the only Nigerian artists who have been nominated for a Grammy Award are; himself, Fela Kuti, Sunny Ade and Burna Boy.
He also spoke of the fact that every other artist who feels they are Grammy Nominees or winners as a result of their collaboration with a Grammy winner wasn’t.
Wizkid FC brutally ridiculed him on Twitter when his video went viral for ignoring their favourite.
Many of them compared Wizkid’s achievements and accomplishments to those of his father, Fela Kuti. They posted with confidence that Wizkid is more successful than his father, who was an Afrobeats icon and pioneer.
They dished out advice to Seun Kuti to cover his face as Wizkid has bagged more awards than him in the industry.
Reacting to this, Seun Kuti returned to address netizens who dragged him concerning what he said about Wizkid.
This time he asserts that awards and streams from music digital stores don’t make anyone the best Nigerian Musician. According to him, They can never be the best musician in the industry.

He asserted that music is not a sport and so should not be viewed as such.
He kindly advised music stans not to be swayed by the tricks of capitalists who integrate these streams on Music charts to make music look like a competition.
He concluded by saying they are only two greatest black musicians in Africa, His father, Fela Kuti and Bob Marley who according to him never won an award.
