Also in the week, there was an uproar from Davolee, which seems to be the height of disrespect to Olamide, it started when Mtvbase TV made a tweet below;
Now Showing #BaseTop5 #YBNLRaised featuring @Olamide x @adekunleGOLD x @lilkeshofficial x @ChinkoTiger x @Viktoh_ybnl x #davolee. pic.twitter.com/aB0U8zovqV
— MTV Base West (@MTVBaseWest) February 23, 2021
The tweet was about basetop5 with the hashtag #ybnlraised, which implies top5 songs from artistes raised from the YBNL record label, then Davolee quoted
“With all due respect…if you want to talk or play a DAVOLEE, just do it..don’t even attach or disrespect me again. Thanks” Then a Twitter user replied Davolee
“Davolee don’t forget Olamide made us know you”
he then replied the tweep with “Both of you are Mad”
he later deleted the tweet after it went viral, see screenshot below;
It almost caused a Twitter meltdown as Twitter users were all out to drag him to filth for disrespecting Olamide.

Reviews and Opinions
Now let’s move to the rundown of new Nigerian music releases during the week (Sunday 21 – Friday 26) highlight;
Rema – Bounce
Rema actually came through with this Don Jazzy‘s produce track, highly recommended, a very big vibe, among top best new releases this week.
Kizz Daniel – Flex
Kizz Daniel seems to be ready to change the sound now, this is quite different from what his sound looks like, one of the best-released songs of the week.
Banky W – Final Say
Banky W left music for over some years now but came to bless us with this song, obviously dedicated to his wife and newly born baby, congratulations to him once more, nice song.
9ice – Aranbada
9ice has been here for more than a decade now, and surprisingly he’s still holding it down, ‘aranbada’ is a nice tune.
Timi Dakolo – Everything
Timi Dakolo never disappoints, he delivers so effortlessly, ‘everything’ is a vibe and half.
Zinoleesky ft. Mayorkun, Busiswa – “Kilofeshe Remix”
This remix was not really necessary, the song is a hit already, even it is needed for more expansion, Busiswa is the only right choice, anyway, the remix is nice.
Ric Hassani – The Prince I Became (Album)
Ric Hassani has a new album out and I hope y’all listen to it, the one reason why I like to listen to projects is that I look out for growth and it was super evident on this album how much he’s grown, his attention to detail is commendable.
Skales – Kayefi
Skales came through with this one yea! a nice suiting tune, one for the books also.
