Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh was a Lead Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist who was able to diagnose and contain Nigeria’s first-ever Ebola patient in July 2014. She contracted Ebola and died alongside 3 of her colleagues.

Don Jazzy in honor of Dr. Stella wrote on Twitter,

We lost one of Nigeria’s best and courageous physicians, Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, on this day in 2014. She was one of the front line doctors who helped curb the spread of the Ebola epidemic in Nigeria. The life-endangering roles she played will always be remembered. R.I.P Heroine.
