Brymo Slams Peter Okoye Over Seun Kuti’s Police Saga.
Nigerian sonic artist Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, better known as Brymo, blasted his colleague Mr. P over the recent police saga involving Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti.
Like many others, the sonic artist voiced his viewpoint over the ongoing Seun Kuti police scandal.
Seun Kuti made national headlines after he was caught on video assaulting a police officer on Lagos’ third mainland bridge.
Following the shocking incident the Nigerian police arrested Seun Kuti in the early hours of today, Monday, May 15, 2023.
In response to the incident, Peter Okoye, a member of the trio P-Square, turned to Twitter to appeal to Nigerian police on behalf of the Grammy-nominated musician.
He wrote:
Quite an unfortunate incident and from reports, it seems Seun’s family was in danger hence the altercation. When you understand what happens when a man is put in a situation to protect his family from any form of danger, our emotions get the better of us. I ask and plead that the #NigerianPoliceForce accept our unreserved apologies for the unfortunate outburst and tamper justice with mercy.

Brymo reacted to Mr. P because he believed the musician was acting with fake sympathy for his coworker Seun Kuti. Brymo asserted that the situation will be rectified and that Seun Kuti did not need to plead for help. He stated:
Bros leave am make him deal with him matter .. make una no reduce man to begger because of matters wey go dey resolved anyways .. why we dey beg ??.. please do not show any faux empathy for Seun Kuti , you don’t care .. he’ll be fine!!. Later “we help am beg police”.. drop it!
