Zinchenko evaluates Arsenal’s decision to sign Jorginho after they missed out on Caicedo.
Oleksandr Zinchenko believes Arsenal have signed a ‘huge personality’ in Jorginho and that he will play a key role in the team’s bid for the Premier League title this season.
Mikel Arteta sought a new midfielder in January, but Arsenal’s top target, Moises Caicedo, had numerous proposals rejected by Brighton.
On deadline day, the Gunners decided to pursue Jorginho and closed a £12 million deal with Chelsea.
The Italian international made his club debut last week in a 1-0 loss to Everton off the bench, but Zinchenko believes his new teammate will play a significant role in the rest of their season.

When asked about Arsenal’s decision to sign Jorginho from Chelsea, Zinchenko told VBET News: ‘He is an amazing player, big personality. Huge experience as well.
‘He is a winner, he knows how to win. And for sure he’s going to help us a lot.’
Zinchenko was also asked about comparisons between Arteta and Guardiola ahead of Arsenal’s game with Manchester City.
‘I have known Mikel since City, and I always knew that he is an amazing manager,’ said Zinchenko.
‘There are a lot of similarities between Arteta and Guardiola, but obviously, everyone is a bit different, and still, there is some difference between them as well.
‘But the similarity is that both of them want to win every single game, and that’s the most important thing.’
