‘Shekere’ hitmaker, Yemi Alade has been appointed as a UN Development Goodwill Ambassador.
The announcement came via UNDP Sweden’s verified Twitter account on the 23rd of September in a video where the UNDP Administrator, Achim Steiner announced Yemi Alade’s appointment.
Yemi Alade in the video said as an ambassador she would do her best to lend her voice to help people who are suffering the most from the Socio-economic impact of the COVID19.
The ‘Woman of Steel’ joins artists like 2Baba to bag a UN appointment. She is expected to drop her fifth album soon.
