Wizkid reveals new profession after being tackled for not releasing new songs

Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, has responded to his fans’ criticism after they expressed their eagerness for new songs.

In a post shared on the Insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page on November 5, 2023, Wizkid shared a snapshot of a message from a fan who playfully threatened him with “God of Iron” for not releasing new songs.

The fan’s message read: “Afa drop songs now Abi Ogun they kill you.”

In response, Wizkid found the fan’s message amusing and replied that he is currently on holiday, urging his fans to let him rest and enjoy his life. He humorously mentioned that he wants to savor the money he has earned over the years and suggested that he might be away from music for 4 to 5 years.

Wizkid stated: “Una papa dey holiday oo, make I enjoy…back in 4 years. Make una papa chop him money small…”

The “Essence” singer went on to playfully announce that he is considering a change in profession, suggesting that he might explore activities such as playing football, golf, FIFA, and wrestling.

It appears that Wizkid is taking some well-deserved time off to relax and explore new interests outside of music.
