This year’s Afro Nation was particularly significant for Nigerian music, with Burna Boy, Asake and Wizkid serving as the festival’s three headline acts across the event’s three nights. Each artist delivered energetic performances that showcased the strength and global appeal of Afrobeats on one of the genre’s biggest international stages.
Nigeria’s presence extended well beyond the headliners. Olamide, Wande Coal, Blaqbonez and Young Jonn also impressed festivalgoers with standout performances, further highlighting the country’s influence on today’s African music landscape.
Artists from other parts of the continent also played key roles in the celebration. South African hitmaker Tyla headlined the opening night, while Congolese music icon Awilo Longomba, Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka and Ghanaian duo R2Bees added their own flavour to a lineup that reflected the richness and diversity of African music.
By the time Wizkid exited the stage, Afro Nation Portugal had once again delivered another successful edition, bringing together some of the continent’s biggest stars and reaffirming its place as one of the world’s leading festivals dedicated to African music and culture.
