One of Nigeria’s most successful artist internationally, Wizkid has broken record by being the first Nigerian artist to win an NAACP image award.
The Nigerian artist whose ‘Brown Skin girl collaboration with grammy award winner Beyonce bagged him an award for the outstanding duo group of collaboration at the 2020 edition of the Image Awards is arguably the most successful Nigerian artist globally.
Revealing the great feat he attained through his social media page, @Wizkidnews posted:
“Brown Skin Girl” has won “Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration” at the 2020 @NAACP Image Awards. Wizkid is the first Nigerian artist to win an NAACP Image Award. Congratulations
The collaboration which saw Wizkid carting home Nigeria first-ever NAACP image award also featured Blue Ivy and Saint JHN.
Wizkid who recently announced the completion of his soon to release Album Love Lagos also hinted on his collaboration with fast-rising act Terms.

So far Wizkid and Burna Boy are leading the junk of Nigerian artist making wave at the International music scene, with Burna boy’s nomination at Grammy and BRIT awards.
