Controversial street-pop singer Portable has stirred fresh reactions online after claiming that he intentionally allowed comedian Carter Efe to win their recent celebrity boxing clash.

The fight, which took place at Chaos in the Ring 4, ended with Carter Efe defeating Portable and walking away with the ₦50 million prize reportedly promised by businessman E-Money.
Since the victory, Carter Efe has continued to attract cash gifts and rewards, including a reported $5,000 payout from cryptocurrency entrepreneur Habby Forex.
Speaking during a livestream session with Whitemoney, Portable claimed the outcome of the match was deliberate, insisting he sacrificed the victory because of the financial stakes.
”That’s why I sell that match, for my enemy. I win that match. If na concert I do, they won’t come“, he said.
The singer suggested that many people had placed bets on him to win and implied that defeating Carter Efe could have had financial consequences for those involved.
Portable’s latest comments add another twist to the drama that has surrounded the celebrity bout since its conclusion, especially after he initially accused organisers of bias and unfair judging.
The “Zazoo Zeh” crooner is no stranger to boxing headlines. In 2023, he defeated Charles Okocha in another celebrity fight following a heated dispute linked to an alleged ₦40 million deal.
That match, staged at Landmark Beach during the Heritage Boxing Entertainment event, ended in Portable’s favour after four rounds by unanimous decision.
Now, despite his loss to Carter Efe, Portable continues to keep himself firmly in public conversation both inside and outside the ring.
