According to a statistic retrieved from news digest in 2018, the trio made the list of top 8 Nigerian artists with the highest number of awards in Nigerian. Being amongst the top 10 artists with the highest number of awards indicates that the trio had been doing well musically since they broke out in 2010. The trio who have experienced rapid growth since the inception of their career remains one of the artists that started their career Wayback in 2010 and that has still remained very relevant in the Nigerian music scene.

With most artists that started their career in 2010 fading off, Davido, Wizkid and Olamide have been dropping hits back to back from Eni Duro to Holla at your boy and Ojuelegba. an example of one of the artists who were in the limelight in 2010 but was later swept under the carpet some years later is Terry G who has been struggling to return to the forefront of the music scene.

Starting under already established record label, Davido(HKN), Wizkid (EME) and Olamide(Coded Tunes) moved from being just artists to owning very successful record labels that has produced successful new generation artists like Mayorkun, Fireboy DML, and Terri. while Davido currently owns DMW record label, Olamide owns YBNL and WIzkid Star Boy records. producing the next set of big things in the music scene. It is important to note that while Olamide and Wizkid did not have a share in their first record label, Davido’s first record label was co-owned by him and his brother. However, a very zealous Davido was not comfortable with co-owning a record label moved to float his own label which has been successful.

Asides from owning top label’s, Wizkid, Davido and Olamide has produced musical acts who are doing very well in the Nigerian music scene. While Olamide produced Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML and Lyta under YBNL, Davido has produced Great and very trading artists like Dremo, Peruzzi, and Mayorkun. with Wizkid who just started his record label producing very much trending music star Terri.
