Wesley Fofana speaks out after suffering another injury during Chelsea 5-1 victory over Brentford.
After limping out with a knee injury during a friendly match against Brentford on Tuesday, Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana has experienced a blow to his chances of making it back to the first team.
In preparation for Chelsea’s return to the campaign, the centre-back suffered the injury while competing in a game that was played behind closed doors.
The London team will now have to determine the degree of a potential injury. They won the game 5-1, but the victory was overshadowed by what occurred to Fofana.
Graham Potter, the Blues’ manager, is anticipated to address the matter during his pre-game press conference on Friday before the Bournemouth game.

After overcoming a knee injury sustained in October, the 22-year-old defender returned to full training for Chelsea this month.
While the World Cup was still going on, the Frenchman participated in Chelsea’s training camp in Abu Dhabi and recently declared he was prepared to return to the senior team.
He sustained an injury during Chelsea’s Champions League victory against AC Milan two months ago, preventing him from being included in Didier Deschamps’ France World Cup squad. He also opened the scoring in that game.
Meanwhile, Fofana has now responded to reports of a possible knew injury. He said: Wesley Fofana: “Nothing bad champion… in not even one month we’re back to break everything ????????”
