Villarreal view the young defender as a cornerstone for their future. Renowned for his versatility, Veiga can operate as a center-back, left-back, or even in midfield, offering tactical flexibility.
A statement on the club’s official website hailed him as:
“A superb left-footed centre-back, tall, strong and technically gifted. He excels in physical duels, one-on-one situations, and has outstanding ball-striking ability. In addition to playing across central defence, he can also be deployed at left-back or in midfield. A true Champions League-level defender.”
The record-breaking move underscores Villarreal’s ambition to strengthen their squad with top talent as they build towards sustained success in La Liga and European competitions.
