Victony to undergo 5th surgery due to persistent leg pain following 2021 car accident

Nigerian singer Victony has disclosed that he is preparing for a fifth surgery to address persistent leg pain stemming from a near-fatal car accident in 2021.
The ‘Soweto‘ crooner shared this update during a candid interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, revealing that, despite four previous surgeries, he continues to struggle with discomfort.
“My leg still hurts. I am still going to do another surgery. I’m living it. I have just accepted that experience,” Victony stated, acknowledging the long-term effects of the tragic accident that claimed one life and left three others injured.
Recalling his journey to recovery, the singer, whose real name is Anthony Ebuka Victor, spent nearly a year in a wheelchair and was in a coma for three to four days.
He also admitted to battling “survival guilt” after realizing that someone lost their life in the crash. However, he has since come to terms with his reality.
“It’s what is making me who I am today. That’s my story. I don’t want to happily identify with it, but it’s part of my story,” he said, emphasizing how the experience has shaped his outlook on life and music.
Despite the challenges, Victony remains committed to his craft, using his platform to inspire fans with his resilience.
As he prepares for yet another surgery, supporters have continued to send him messages of encouragement, wishing him a smooth procedure and full recovery.
