Nigerian rapper Vector Tha Viper has sparked discussion online after sharing his candid thoughts on intelligence, influence, and how the public perceives political figures, including former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.

During a recent podcast appearance, Vector was asked whether Obi was overhyped or if Nigerians should take note of his influence. The rapper responded with measured caution, praising Obi’s sharp intellect and public appeal.

“As a matter of fact, Nigerians better be careful of such a man, that is very highly intelligent,” Vector said. “Not because I have or know anything wrong with him, or his stance — like he would say, go and verify. I might have personal opinions from my own experience, but I don’t know anything that I can say, you should beware of this person, no! But I know, someone who knows their books well and can speak convincingly… people like that, they are hot.”

He was quick to clarify that his remarks were not intended to downplay Obi’s contributions or achievements. “This is not in any way to stifle what he is doing,” he added, “but you know, there are many people we thought we were the ones, but they turned out to not be.”

Vector’s reflections have sparked conversation among fans and followers, with many weighing in on the influence of highly intelligent public figures on Nigeria’s political landscape.
