The UEFA Champions League 2024/25 knockout play-off draw has been officially revealed, setting up thrilling clashes, including a showdown between Manchester City and defending champions Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain will face their French rivals Brest.
Following the conclusion of the first-ever league phase on Wednesday night, which featured 18 simultaneous matches, the expanded 36-team table was finalized.
The top eight teams secured direct qualification to the round of 16, while the clubs finishing between ninth and 24th now face a two-legged play-off in February to earn their spot in the next round.
Each team already had a predetermined set of possible opponents based on their final league phase position.
However, the official matchups were confirmed during Friday’s draw at UEFA’s House of Football in Switzerland, with Thiago Alcântara conducting the proceedings.
