Antonio Conte gives Kulusevski and Richarlison injury updates ahead of Tottenham vs Sporting.
Tottenham Hotspur football manager Antonio Conte has provided an update on Kulusevski and Richarlison’s injuries ahead of the Tottenham vs Sporting Champions League game.
Spurs manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski will miss Wednesday night’s Champions League match between Tottenham and Sporting Lisbon.
Both the Brazilian and the Swede will miss Wednesday’s game due to minor injuries—the Brazilian has a calf problem and the Swede, a thigh one.
Conte will be eager to have the two forwards back after they missed the last two Premier League games in which Spurs lost to Manchester United and Newcastle United.
However, there is some more encouraging news, with Cristian Hojberg and Pierre-Emile Hojberg pushing for returns, although they could still miss out against the Portuguese side.

‘Richarlison and Kulusevski, they are out because they are recovering but they are still not ready,’ Conte told a press conference on Tuesday.
‘But Romero and Hojberg tomorrow morning we will see. If there is the possibility to recover them we will try everything because it’s an important game for us. But we have many games to play until November. We will see tomorrow morning and then take the best decision.’
After four games, Spurs are in first place in Group D of the Champions League, but it’s very close because they only lead Marseille and Sporting by one point, and Eintracht Frankfurt is in last place with four points but is just three points behind the leaders.
Conte acknowledged that victory versus Sporting is essential and is happy to have Lucas Moura back in the lineup after he came off the bench in the last game. he said:
‘Winning tomorrow is vital, ‘You avoid waiting for the last game in Marseille for qualification. Lucas Moura is recovering and improving from a long injury in his tendons, but we have to take some risks.
‘I will check tomorrow morning on players with injuries and who is ready to play from the start.’
