Trod marks the 15th anniversary of Dagrin’s debut album.

Nigerian artist Trod took to his Twitter account on Friday, January 26, to remember his late brother, Oladapo Olaonipekun, popularly known as Dagrin. Trod celebrated the 15-year anniversary of Dagrin’s debut album, “Chief Executive Omoita (C.E.O.)”

Trod shared the album cover on Twitter with the caption, “15 years today. C.E.O 🕊️” The post reflects a heartfelt tribute to Dagrin, honoring his legacy almost two decades after his passing.

The late Dagrin was a prominent figure in the Nigerian music scene, and Trod’s acknowledgment of the album’s anniversary is a poignant moment of remembrance and reflection.

In earlier posts, Trod shared reflections on life, emphasizing the profound lessons it imparts through challenging experiences. In one post, he expressed gratitude for surviving the challenges of 2023, stating, “You no go understand life until e touch you. 2023, I’m glad I survived 🙏🏾…. Nobody send my Papa, I carry my cross for my head like Dada!”

These statements reveal Trod’s resilience and acknowledgment of life’s complexities, echoing the sentiment that one truly comprehends life when faced with its hardships.

It’s worth noting that Dagrin, Trod’s late brother, passed away 13 years ago, on April 22, 2010, following a fatal auto accident. The remembrance posts and reflections by Trod carry the weight of personal experience and speak to the enduring impact of life’s challenges.
