Tottenham Hotspur have sealed the signing of Dutch star Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig in a blockbuster €60 million deal.

The 22-year-old attacker has penned a five-year contract with the North London side, which also includes an option to extend for an additional two years. He successfully underwent medical tests on Thursday before finalising the switch.
Speaking to Spurs’ official media, Simons expressed his delight:
“I’m really happy and can’t wait to get going. I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time. It’s a great club and when I met the head coach I knew straight away this was the right place for me. I will bring flair to the team but also hard work and discipline. I want to do everything I can to win, for the team and also for the fans.”

Head coach Thomas Frank hailed the move, describing Simons as a perfect fit for his project.
“I’m really pleased we have brought Xavi in — he is a great addition to the squad. He is still young but has already gained valuable top-level experience. He has proven he can score and create goals, whether playing as a number 10 or on the left wing. His vision and ability to break down defences will add another dimension to our attack.”
