Tory Lanez Found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion

Lanez faces 23 year jail term.
A jury in Los Angeles found rapper Tory Lanez guilty of three felonies in the shooting of hip-hop singer Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, which left her wounded and with bullet fragments in her foot.
The jury deliberated for one day before convicting Daystar Peterson, 30, of assault with a semiautomatic pistol, possessing a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and firing a firearm with gross negligence. The charges could result in up to 22 years in jail.
Megan Thee Stallion, earlier testified that she was shot in the feet after leaving a pool party.
Reports revealed, Lanez showed no reaction as the verdict was read out. He was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on 27 January.

It was not immediately known whether he planned to appeal.
After the jury left the courtroom, Lanez’s father, Sonstar Peterson, leapt up and began shouting: “This wicked system stands judged before God almighty!” He then pointed to the two prosecutors in the case and yelled “You two are evil, wicked people. You know exactly what you did.”
Deputies removed him from the courtroom, where he continued to shout in the hallway.
