Ever wondered if the coronavirus isn’t gone by December, what shows would you be missing? Well, Mp3bullet.ng has listed 10 concerts you might not get the chance to attend if that happens.
2020 isn’t what we prayed for when 2019 was about to end. The Coronavirus pandemic was an unexpected one and with it came a lot of setbacks.
In Nigeria, around January and mid-February, Artists were going about their business like every normal day until the situation got serious and the lockdown was initiated.
Now we approach the middle of the year and it doesn’t seem like the coronavirus would be going anything soon.
December is usually the most exciting time of the year, not just because of it a festive period. The month is what Nigerians refer to as “Detty December’ because of the number of concerts and events that are available to attend.
So, Mp3bullet.ng has curated the list of top 10 concerts we might miss if Coronavirus doesn’t disappear by December.
Olamide (Olamide Live in Concert)
Olamide started hosting “Olamide Live in Concert” as far back as 2014. He is the first Nigerian Rapper to host a sold-out concert in the popular Eko Convention Center.
In 2017, he decided to switch things as he hosted his concert in Teslim Balogun Stadium on the mainland and broke record as the first artiste to independently have a sold-out show there.
Olamide is often referred to as the king of the street and has his die-hard fans and so it’s quite easy for him to have a full house every year.
If the coronavirus doesn’t disappear by the time December comes, this would sting hard.
Wizkid (Starboy Fest)
Wizkid’s Starboy Fest or Wizkid Live in concert usually happens between the ending of December or the beginning of January depending on his plan. It usually a festival because he not only hosts it in Lagos but in Europe, London most especially.
The Event is one of the most attended in Nigeria due to the general fondness for Wizkid. The most interesting Wizkid concert was in 2017 when he brought out his alleged rival, Davido to perform with him on stage.
Davido (Davido Live Concert)
Davido is known to be an energetic person. What he lacks in live performance he makes up for in Stamina. Coupled with his hypeman, Special Spesh, Davido never fails to disappoint.
Davido’s concerts are always fully packed just like his counterpart, Wizkid. he usually names his shows according to whatever song or album he drops in the year. For example, “The 30 Billion Concert”, “A Good Time Tour”.

Falz (Falz Experience)
Falz’s first independent show was held in 2018 and it was named as one of the best concerts for that year.
Falz brought a different game to hosting a concert in his first Falz Experience. The event was so good, he was encouraged to repeat the feat in 2019.
It would be a sad thing to not get to experience the comic singer/rapper on stage in December.
Naira Marley (Marlian Fest)
2019 was Naira Marley’s year. Put aside his arrest which turned out to be a blessing in disguise for him, the singer was the name on the street, at some point he was said to have dethroned Olamide as the king of the street( though this writer doubt he can).
Naira Marley took advantage of his newfound popularity to host a concert he called Marlian fest in Lagos. The event was a fun one even though it had its worst moments with rebellious attendees trying to gate crash the event.
We hope he gets another opportunity to host one again by December.
Burna Boy
Burna Boy is a different beast when on stage. He brings the class to live performance. So attending a show hosted by him would make for a great December groove.
Kizz Daniel
Kizz Daniel hosted his “No Bad Songs” concert in 2019, a name he referenced from his 2019 album.

Zlatan(Zlatan Live Concert)
Zlatan just like Naira Marley hosted his first concert in 2019. The singer was supposed to host another concert in 2020 in the O2 arena in London but had to cancel the vent due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Small Doctor( Omo Better Concert)
Small Doctor who is popularly known for his “Penalty” song is an Agege boy at heart. He is one of the few artists that have managed to shut down Lagos Mainland with a show.
His shows mostly take place in Agege Stadium and is always packed to the brim.
Mayorkun(Mayor of Lagos Concert)
Mayorkun decided to follow in the footstep of his boss, Davido in launching his own show. Apart from Davido, he is the only DMW artist to do this.
Mayorkun first started with doing school tours before hosting a bigger event and it worked to his favor.
