Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage has been speaking passionately about what she believes is still missing in the music ecosystem: proper infrastructure that supports not just artists, but the entire creative chain behind them.

While discussing the vision driving her latest initiative, the award-winning singer explained that her focus goes beyond spotlighting emerging talent. Instead, she wants to build a stronger foundation for the people who will ultimately shape the future of the industry, those working behind the scenes as well as those on stage.

At 46, Tiwa reflected on her own journey, acknowledging that although music transformed her life, raw talent alone is rarely enough to guarantee long-term success in an industry where access and structure often determine outcomes.

    She put it this way:

“Music changed my life but talent alone isn’t enough especially when access is limited. I want to open people’s eyes to the full scope of what’s possible in music. I don’t just want to launch artists; I want to build leaders, producers, executives and owners who will shape the future of the music industry. Our alumni will become film composers, label executives and mentors who reinvest in the next generation. If a young musician from a small neighbourhood can say the foundation changed their life, then we’ve achieved something meaningful,” Savage said

Her message paints a bigger picture, one where success in music isn’t just about becoming a star but about creating systems that allow others to rise, too.

For Tiwa Savage, the goal is clear: build something that lasts, empowers, and eventually feeds back into the next generation of creatives.
