Tiakola and Rema have joined forces on Best, a standout collaboration from the French-Congolese artist’s newly released second studio album, WpointM.
The track blends Tiakola’s melodic French rap with Rema’s distinct Afrobeats sound, creating an easy mix of singing, rap, and infectious rhythms. Produced in London, the song gives both artists room to lean into the melodic approach that has become a key part of their music.
Best is part of the 17-track WpointM, which marks another step in Tiakola’s solo journey. Across the project, he moves between French rap and Afrobeats while drawing inspiration from his Congolese roots.
The collaboration had already generated some buzz before the album arrived. Tiakola previously teased his link-up with Rema through the video for Upa Solide, giving fans an early glimpse of what was coming.
Beyond Rema, WpointM features appearances from British singer Jorja Smith, Theodora, Bné and Congolese group Zaïko Langa Langa. The album also follows WpointM – 93120, a six-track pre-release project that dropped on September 24 and included Upa Solide alongside Winter Melo Music featuring Leto.
For Rema, Best adds another international collaboration to an already expanding catalogue. The Nigerian star continues to make moves across different markets, with his growing global profile also reflected in his announced appearance at Afro Nation Portugal 2027 alongside Davido and Fally Ipupa.
With both artists bringing their own flavour to the record, Best feels like a natural meeting point between Tiakola’s European sound and Rema’s global Afrobeats appeal.
