The Voice Nigeria’s Judges and Contestants have paid respect to Sound Sultan, the Nigerian music icon who died precisely a week ago.
Sound Sultan was honoured by the participants and judges of the third season of The Voice Nigeria with a version of his song “Area” (Motherland)
The Judges which included Darey Art Alade, Waje, Yemi Alade, Falz alongside the contestants had fans gushing with their beautiful rendition of the song.

In other news, Sound Sultan’s Wife Breaks Silence After The Burial Of Her Husband.
A Few days ago Nigeria lost Sound Sultan, who was one of its legends in the entertainment industry.
Due to the health challenges, he was facing, he had to leave Nigeria for the United States Of America where he couldn’t hold up and lost the battle.
Sound Sultan’s burial took place in the United State Of America and videos of the burial went viral. Many celebrities and loved ones found their way there to pay their last respect and support his family. The Nigerian singer is survived by his wife, three beautiful children and siblings who loved him so dearly.
During the burial of Sound Sultan, touching photos and videos were taken which was all over social media. In one of the photos, his wife Farida was seen laying on the coffin of her late husband, weeping and paying her last respect.

Prior to now, Farida had not posted anything on her official Instagram page since June 28th, until Saturday the 17th of July, 2021. In the photo she posted, she seemed speechless as she just captioned it “Olanrewaju Ganiyu Fasasi“.
