Terri’s ability to musically express himself portrays an underlying intelligence
In February 2018, the Lagos-born and bred indigene of Edo State, Akinre Terry, signed to the Wizkid-founded label, Starboy Entertainment, immediately after he got a meet-up beep meeting with Mut4y, one-half member of Legendury Beatz and Head of Music at Starboy.
Terri was discovered by Wizkid after he performed a cover to ‘Oshey’ by DJ Jimmy Jatt featuring Wizkid on Instagram in January 2018.

Terri is known to be an artist with a distinctive, soulful and mesmerizing penmanship and vocal projection that makes his work a representation of the modern classic.
Terri then went on to release his first official single under the Starboy Entertainment label in the September of 2018 titled “Bia”
Terri became more popular and also became the talk of the town when Starboy featured him alongside Spotless, Ceeza Milli & Wizkid in a song titled ‘Soco’

However, his verse went viral very fast, people started vibing to his verse on Instagram videos and Snapchat videos.
In 2020, Terri released his first EP, titled AfroSeries, which is a compilation of seven tracks, with no features of any artist but with production from super Nigerian producers including Killertunes, Iambeatz, SARZ and Blaise Beatz
