    Nigerian international music sensation Tems left fans spellbound in Johannesburg, South Africa, as she delivered an unforgettable performance during the latest stop of her ‘Born In The Wild’ world tour.

    The Grammy-winning artist took centre stage at The Dome, Nasrec, a newly opened venue with a seating capacity of 6,000.

    She treated fans to a stunning showcase of her hit songs while also engaging them in an exclusive meet-and-greet session at the sidelines of the concert.

    South Africa marks the first African stop of Tems’ world tour following the cancellation of her Kigali, Rwanda, concert.

    In a post shared on her X account on January 30, the singer revealed that she had initially planned to perform in Rwanda but later reconsidered due to the ongoing tensions between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

    “I promoted my Kigali concert ignorant of the ongoing crisis between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo,” she stated, adding that she did not intend to appear insensitive to the political climate.

    She further expressed her concern for those affected by the conflict. The decision has since been met with understanding and appreciation from both South African and Congolese fans.

    So I recently promoted my show in Rwanda without realising that there is ongoing conflict between Rwanda and Congo. I never ever intend to be insensitive to real-world issues, and I sincerely apologize if this came across that way. I simply had no idea this was going on. My heart…

    Tems’ world tour follows the success of her debut album, Born In The Wild, which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album.

    The 29-year-old songstress continues to cement her place on the global stage, kicking off 2025 with a second Grammy win for Best African Song Performance at the 67th Grammy Awards.

    Beyond her tour, Tems recently made headlines with a special performance at the O2 Arena in London, where she was invited to unveil the latest Aston Martin car for the 2025 Formula 1 season—further highlighting her influence as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports.

    With her career reaching new heights, Tems remains a dominant force in the global music industry, captivating audiences with her distinct sound and powerful performances.
