Grammy award-winning singer Tems has once again set social media ablaze with a cryptic message, leaving fans questioning whether it’s a sneak peek at new lyrics or something deeper.

Coming off the recent success of her debut EP For Broken Ears, setting a new record on Spotify, Tems took to her social media platform on Thursday, March 13, 2025, to share a thought-provoking post that has sparked intense discussion.

    Her message read:

“They breadcrumb you because they live on breadcrumbs, they have nothing more to give. You are the giver, you have bread. And because you’re used to having bread. You expect to receive bread from them too. The breadcrumbs create a hunger that is never satiated. Cuz you’re used to more.

All the while they’ve been eating off your bread. Now you’re even more empty than before hoping for something tangible. You’ve become addicted to breadcrumbs. Now they don’t even need to deceive you anymore. You give it freely. You’ve taken on the new identity of breadcrumb lover.”

This is for the girls that get it, if not scroll!!

Given Tems’s reputation for keeping a low profile online, this sudden post naturally caught fans off guard, with many dissecting its meaning.

Some speculated that she might be teasing lyrics from an upcoming project, while others saw it as a powerful reflection on relationships, self-worth, and emotional manipulation.

However, Tems quickly followed up with another post, stating that the message was meant “for the girls who get it”, subtly addressing the overanalysis and reactions online.

As always, Tems knows how to spark a conversation, and fans are now eagerly waiting to see if this message is a prelude to new music or just one of her rare moments of social media expression.
