Nigerian afrobeat artists Amaarae, Tems and Rema made Amazon Music’s list of Artists to watch out for in 2022 with Tems making the main list and the other two added to the playlist.

The list was released on Wednesday, the 5th of December 2021.

Recall, Tems was undoubtedly Africa’s biggest breakout talent last year, with her appearance on Wizkid’s worldwide blockbuster song, Essence, catapulting her music into the international spotlight.

She later appeared on Drake’s 2021 album and featured R&B sensation, Brent Faiyaz on her own EP.

Mavin Records singer, Rema continued his upward trend with a great outing last year.

Asides from releasing international bangers like Bounce and Soundgasm, Rema also held his very first US tour in 2021.

TikTok was the primary platform for Amaarae’s Sad Girls Luv Money song to become a certified hit in the United States.

It was not long before she was also headlining shows in the US and performing at top festivals too.

Taking their good outing in 2021 into consideration, Amazon Music has now named Tems, Rema, and Amaarae among the Artists to Watch in 2022.
