Nigerian Award-winning artist Tems has solidified her position as the most certified Nigerian female artist in the United States, achieving another milestone with an RIAA platinum plaque.

Her single “Found,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, has reached the one million sales mark in the US, qualifying it for the prestigious certification.

“Found” is featured on Tems‘ 2021 sophomore EP ‘If Orange Was A Place.’ The track gained significant commercial success, further boosted by her international breakthrough on Wizkid’s global hit “Essence,” which introduced her to a wider audience.

The single has since accumulated over 119 million streams on Spotify, establishing it as one of the most-streamed songs in her growing catalog. With this new certification, Tems now holds three RIAA platinum plaques for her contributions to Future’s “Wait For U,” as well as her solo tracks “Free Mind” and “Found.”

Adding to her achievements, Tems recently received RIAA gold certifications for her Billboard Hot 100 charting song “Higher” and her EP ‘For Broken Ears.’ This accomplishment made her the first Nigerian female artist to have an RIAA gold-certified album.

Tems joins an elite group of Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified projects, including Wizkid and Rema. Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos‘ and Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses‘ have both achieved RIAA gold status, further elevating the global impact of Nigerian music.
