Nigerian buzzing artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has revealed the official tracklist for his forthcoming album, ‘Eziokwu’, featuring 14 tracks.

The official release date for “Eziokwu,” which includes previously released tracks including “Declan Rice,” “Dog Eat Dog II,” and “Firegun,” is set for this coming Friday, October 6.

In a teaser video posted to his social media pages on October 2, 2023, Odumodublvck announced the tracklist for “Eziokwu”; the full-length video will be released at 7 PM on his YouTube channel.

Bloody Civilian, Wale, Blaqbonez, Fireboy DML, Teezee, Reeplay, Cruel Santino, Ecko Miles, Bella Shmurda, Zlatan, Psycho YP, and Amaarae are among the artists who appear on the album.

In other news, Odumodu, has achieved a significant milestone by winning the Best Newcomer award at AFRIMMA 2023.

The 10th edition of the AFRIMMA awards took place at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas, and brought together numerous renowned artists from across Africa.

The Best Newcomer award went to Odumodublvck, who is currently one of Africa’s hottest rappers and recently signed with Def Jam.

His popularity soared even higher after Arsenal FC used his widely recognized song ‘Declan Rice‘ for the unveiling of their player, Declan Rice, earlier this year.

Taking to his social media platform on Monday morning, September 18, Odumodublvck shared a photo of himself holding the award and extended his gratitude to AFRIMMA and his supporters, which include Antiworld, Native Records, Abuja City, and the Hip-hop world.

Nigerian prolific hip-hop duo Show Dem Camp has unveiled the lists of performers that will be gracing their palm wine music concert in Lagos.

The Nigerian duo of Show Dem Camp who comprises Tec and Ghost are no newcomers to the music scene.

With their form of music and the musicians with whom they cooperated, they are known as the pioneers of the Alte music movement in Nigeria.

They have quite an impressive discography to their name as well, with their Palmwine Music series and Clone Wars series standing tall at least three projects each.

Tec and Ghost previously announced that their annual Palmwine music event will take hold on December 24, 2021, in the iconic Muri Okunola Park in Lagos.

DRB Lasgidi (BOJ, Teezee & Fresh L), Ladipoe, Ajebutter22, Oxlade, Lojay, Tomi Thomas, Falana, Funbi, Lady Donli, Moelogo, Tomi Owo, Dami Oniru, and others were confirmed as performing artists for the event on their Instagram page yesterday, December 14th 2021.

They also made it known that there will be surprise performances.

Popular British/Nigerian rapper, Skepta serves us his latest body of work titled All In (EP).

“I just felt weird about making music for people to download at 12:00 on a Thursday night in their houses,” he says. “And then debate about who’s better than me, or who I’m better than. That’s not really what I do it for. I like to give people moments they can remember, with friends, with music, and for that I also need to perform live.” Skepta found a willing audience on Instagram Live, in a thrilling producer battle against JAE5. After going track for track with each other, the pair launched a new, collaborative chapter that spearheads All In, the BBK frontman’s second EP.

The rich, celebratory package of tracks returns Skepta to the fore in style. He floats on airy soul samples with Teezee and Kid Cudi (“Peace of Mind”), recruits Colombian superstar J Balvin for a multilingual anthem (“Nirvana”), and pays homage to classic grime aesthetics (“Eyes on Me”). Still grinding in the studio most days, nights on the road were replaced with a new pastime: poker. “It’s crazy how much of a metaphor the game is to life,” he says.

“Starting out with just being lucky and getting good cards. And if you don’t, you can bluff and still win. We were playing, and I had some good cards. Like, really good cards. And I said, ‘All in.’ Someone said, ‘That’s the name!’ and the room stopped. It just felt right

Big Smoke, as he is affectionately known, just released the 5-track hip-hop project ‘All in,’ which features Nigerian singer alte Teezee, American singer and producer Kid Kudi, and Colombian singer J.Balvin.

During an event celebrating the EP’s release, Skepta claimed that working with Wizkid on a song was more significant to him than working with Drake.

“Me and Drake’s first meeting musically was on a Wizkid record. That was more important to me than asking Drake to jump on a song of mine.”

DRB Lasgidi crew release another single entitled Alte, featuring BOJ, Fresh L and Teezee.

BOJ opens the 2Kris-produced track chanting “alté” in his signature raspy voice, which is then juxtaposed with Fresh L’s crisp delivery on his following verse.

As usual, BOJ is charged with the chorus and also a rift, the latter following a solid second verse by TeeZee.

Widely accepted as the pioneers of the Alté movement — hence the name of their comeback tape, Pioneers — DRB lament the times when “alté” was used as a synonym for weird, remembering when they were judged for being unapologetically self-expressive.

Now that the creative movement boasts increasing momentum — both locally and globally — the pioneers are capitalising on their status, and they’ve knocked it out of the park with this effort.

“Alté” is a lively jam with all the right elements to become a mainstream hit.
