I feel troubled every time I fornicate – Spyro opens up about struggles
Nigerian singer Spyro recently opened up about his personal struggles with fornication and the toll it has taken on his conscience.
In a candid Instagram post on September 3, 2024, Spyro shared his internal conflict regarding his faith and his experiences with sex outside of marriage. He admitted that while sex initially felt good, it eventually led to deep discomfort and guilt.
Spyro confessed, “SEX felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience.” He explained that each time he engaged in sexual activity with someone he wasn’t married to, he felt troubled, as if a part of him was lost afterward.
Despite struggling for a while, he prayed for strength and eventually decided to cut ties with those he had been involved with.
He acknowledged that his journey towards celibacy has been challenging, especially when faced with temptations during his travels.
However, he is committed to keeping himself for his future wife. Spyro humorously mentioned the potential difficulty of staying true to his commitment if faced with certain temptations but affirmed that there is no turning back.
In his post, Spyro also invited his followers to hold him accountable if they ever see him behaving in a way that contradicts his commitment. He encouraged them to report him to his pastor or family if necessary, showing his dedication to staying true to his beliefs and values.
