Burna Boy, Asake, Rema, and others dominate Spotify Charts
The global streaming platform, Spotify has released a list of artists and songs that are currently dominating its various Nigeria’s charts.
With an 18-week run this week, Burna Boy continued to hold the record as the longest-reigning artist on the Top Artists with the longest tenure. The highest new entry is Mellow & Sleazy at #194, and Mr Eazi is the largest climber, moving up 115 spots to #70.
Baddest Boy by Skiibii rose an incredible 42 spots this week on Top Songs to reach #123.
Top Songs Nigeria lists Burna Boy as having the most positions, with Last Last coming in at #2. The highest new entry is Big Energy by LADIPOE at #17, while Omo Ope (feat. Olamide) by Asake spent 18 weeks uninterrupted in the Top Songs charts.
For the Top Albums chart, the highest climber is Ctrl by SZA, which climbed 132 positions to position #41.
With an 18-week run, WizKid’s Made in Lagos Deluxe Edition has had the longest run on Top Albums. In Nigeria, BTS is the artist with the most positions on the chart, and their song Proof is the highest new entry at #2.
