Omawumi
Omawumi Megbele, better known as Omawumi, is a multi-talented Nigerian singer-songwriter. With her powerful vocals and electrifying performances, she has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music business and beyond.
Omawumi has built a name for herself as a judge on some of Nigeria’s most renowned television shows, in addition to her musical career.
Omawumi appeared as a judge on Nigerian Idol, a prominent music competition show in Nigeria, in 2022. She brings a plethora of experience and musical understanding to the table as a judge. Her observations and feedback were highly valued by both the contestants and the public.
In 2021, Omawumi served as a judge for MTN’s Yellow Star, a music talent competition designed to identify and support talented musicians in Nigeria.
Interestingly, Omawumi is an alumnus of West African Idols during which she came up as a runner-up during the 2007 edition.
Timi Dakolo
Timi Dakolo known as the Nigerian King of Souls found the spotlight after he emerged winner of the inaugural season of Idols West Africa in 2007.
Years later, he joined The Voice Nigeria a singing competition that features music enthusiasts and professional performers as a judge for two seasons (2016-2017). In 2017, Idyl, a member of his team won the show.
Simi
Simi is the stage name of Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, a gifted singer and composer from Nigeria. She has established herself as one of Nigeria’s top musicians and has received numerous honours for her music.
Simi has additionally established herself as a recognized judge on one of Nigeria’s most well-liked TV programs.
Simi participated in the Nigerian music competition show Nigerian Idol’s seventh season as a judge in 2022. Her background as a performer and songwriter enabled her to offer the finalists insightful criticism and serve as a mentor for them as they pursue music.

Waje

Waje was chosen as one of four judges for the first season of The Voice Nigeria in 2016. Her contributions to the event were well-received as a seasoned singer with years of experience in the music industry, and she was commended for her skill and constructive feedback.
Waje also returned as a judge in the third season of The Voice Nigeria, alongside fellow Nigerian music star Yemi Alade.

D’banj
Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo better known by his stage name D’banj is a Nigerian singer and rapper and the founder of defunct Mo’ Hits Records with producer Don Jazzy.
D’banj is known as an OG in the music industry for his wealth of knowledge and longevity in the industry. UIn 2022, The singer was announced as a judge on Nigerian Idols alongside Simi and Obi Asika. The three of them would late return as judges in the 2023 edition which premiered on the 23rd of April 2023.
Yemi Alade
Yemi Alade is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer dubbed “Mama Africa” of Nigerian music. She has established herself as one of Africa’s biggest performers, with singles like “Johnny,” “Tumbum,” and “Oh My Gosh” winning her legions of admirers all over the world.
She is a well-respected member of the panel of judges for the well-liked television program “The Voice Nigeria” in Nigeria. She has served as a judge on the show for several seasons, lending her vocal range, personality, and knowledge to the panel.
Banky W
Olubankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, is a multi-talented Nigerian musician who has built a name for himself in music, acting, entrepreneurship, and politics.
He was a judge on the Nigerian Idol series for multiple seasons, lending his experience to the show. In addition, Banky W, along with several other renowned figures, appeared as a judge on the MTN Yellow Star TV show in 2021.
