Ghanaian Dancehall Star, Shatta Wale has revealed what fans should expect from his forthcoming album and his brand in the coming months.
In a state of Industry address posted on the 2nd of June via his Youtube Channel, Shatta Wale revealed that Naira Marley, Popcaan are among the artists confirmed to be his forthcoming “GOG” album which appears to be getting ready for public release.
The dancehall singer also disclosed that he had been working on his album and had shot three music videos on his trip to the United States. He also said that he was also opportune to make music with a Multiple Grammy-Award winning artist whose name he refused to disclose.
While many Nigerian music fans barely noticed his social media absence, his Ghanaian followers was a different story. Shatta has returned to social media after a month away, citing professional obligations as the reason for his absence.
He said that he had meetings with renowned American artists and that he also attended numerous business meetings. According to the artist, one of the most striking aspects of the conversation was his inability to name the type of music made by Ghanaians or to identify a specific brand for the country’s music business.

Shatta made a heartfelt appeal to music industry stakeholders to offer no less than 90% of airtime and priority to Ghanaian music and 10% to music from other nations
In his speech, the award-winning musician also mentioned that Accra, Ghana’s capital city, is the only place where gigs and other music events are regarded. He, on the other hand, claimed that incorporating other cities would speed up their development and assist attract local talent who would not be able to afford to relocate to Accra.
