After releasing his debut EP, “Planet Pluto,” the fast-rising street-pop artist Shallipopi has made his first entry on the Billboard Afrobeats Songs Chart.

Rema’s “Calm Down” continues to hold the record for the longest-charting African song in the Hot 100 as it enters its 45th week while maintaining its No. 4 position in the most recent edition of the Billboard Hot 100 (Chart week – July 22, 2023).

The RIAA Platinum-certified global mega-hit, which is also the second-highest charting African song in history and the highest-charting Nigerian tune, continued to dominate the charts.

Rema’s “Calm Down” remains at the top of the chart as its permanent residence, extending its record at 46 weeks.

Libianca‘s ‘People’ retains its NO. 2 spot, Tems‘ ‘Free Mind’ and Wizkid‘s ‘Essence’ remix move up one spot to NO. 3 and NO. 4 respectively while J Hus‘ ‘Who Told You’ feat Drake drops two spots to NO. 5.

Burna Boy’s “Last Last” dethrones “Sittin On Top Of The World,” which falls to No. 7, Ayra Starr’s “Rush,” which falls to No. 8, CKay’s “Love, Nwantiti,” which holds onto No. 9, and Fireboy’s “Peru,” which remains at No. 10.

This week’s debuts feature “Ex-Convict” by Shallipopi at No. 26 and “Terminator” by King Promise at No. 44.
