Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique are reportedly on the verge of a breakup after the Barcelona defender was allegedly caught having an affair with another woman.
According to journalist Emilio Pérez de Rozas of El Periodico, Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique and his long-term partner Shakira have been living apart for a few weeks.
De Rozas, who appeared on a live video stream of the podcast Mamarazzis, which is broadcast every Wednesday on the El Periodico newspaper’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, claimed that Shakira caught Pique cheating with another woman a few weeks ago, resulting in the alleged breakup.
This is the reason Pique and Shakira have decided to separate for the moment, while also suggesting the Barcelona defender’s partying is somewhat out of control, added to the report in El Periodico.
Pique has additionally disappeared from Shakira’s social media, with the singer often posting pics of the pair in the past, however, the last time that occurred was in March.
