Seun Kuti reacts to Bovi’s skit about him while mocking AY
Afrobeats singer Seun Kuti has reacted to a recent skit from comedian Bovi about him while mocking comedian AY Makun.
In the video, Bovi is seen haggling for the release of several celebrities, offering millions of naira for some and amusingly recommending a lower price, N250k, for Seun Kuti.
The abductor was not satisfied with the amount and threatened to kill Seun if Bovi mentioned it again. Bovi kept saying “250, 250” because he wanted the abductors to kill Seun.
During a recent Instagram live session, Seun Kuti praised Bovi as a witty person and contrasted him with AY Makun, whom he sarcastically called not very good at comedy.
The musician was amused by Bovi’s creativity while shading AY Makun.
He said,
“Oh, that Bovi skit, e no go better for Bovi. the guy no well, him be wan even do am for his show, him don tell me, Bovi is a funny guy, not like that other guy that is not funny. His name rhymes with Dakun, nowhere him no dey beg.”
