Sergio Ramos offers his opinion on the Kylian Mbappe PSG rumours.
Spanish professional footballer Sergio Ramos García has finally revealed his take on his PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe’s speculation.
Despite recent reports that claim Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain, Sergio Ramos maintains that the striker is extremely content there and that he plans to stay for many years.
In the summer, Mbappe renewed his contract with PSG for three years, putting an apparent end to the persistent rumours that he was considering moving to Real Madrid.
However, reports have emerged that the 23-year-old feels ‘betrayed’ by PSG as he feels that promises made over his new contract have been broken, and he wants to leave as a result.
The Frenchman reportedly dislikes playing as the only striker, has a strained relationship with Neymar, and demanded that the Brazilian leave the team. He also insisted that the club sign a new centre-back, but that hasn’t happened either.
Ramos, however, has denied the allegations that this teammate is unsatisfied and has labelled the speculations as untrue. He said:

‘The only thing I can tell you is that I am friends with Kylian, he is very happy here,’ the Spaniard told Canal+. ‘I don’t believe in rumours, we are focused on our work, we don’t read the newspapers.’
He added when speaking to ESPN: ‘The news around us even surprises us sometimes. I hope he will be here for many years.’
Mbappe got the ball rolling for PSG against Benfica on Tuesday night in the Champions League, and he scored from the spot in the 1-1 draw.
Ramos was unhappy with his team’s attitude, but despite this, they are still in first place in their group, and he hopes they can stay with two games left to play. He said:
‘We lacked a bit of determination,’ he said. ‘It’s the little details that make the difference. Physically, they’re a very strong team, who worked well tactically and we couldn’t find any. The Champions League is a complicated competition.
‘The objective is to finish first in the group, there are two games left and we must continue to work to show the best face of the team.’
Football advisor at PSG, Luis Campos, denied that Mbappe wanted to leave, saying earlier on Tuesday: ‘I am here to deny. Kylian Mbappe did not inform anyone to leave Paris Saint-Germain. We never talked about that.
‘I have a three-year contract for PSG, I work every day for the club to do something extraordinary. We speak with him every day, as with the others. All players chat with us. I spoke about recruitment a month ago, we work every day to have an exceptional season. We are very happy to work here.’
