Grammy 2024 nominations: You must win—Samklef makes peace as he congratulates Davido
Renowned Nigerian music producer and blogger Samklef has taken a turn by congratulating award-winning singer Davido on his recent Grammy nominations. This comes after a period of online criticism directed at Davido by Samklef.
The Grammy Awards announced their nominees on Friday, November 10, with Davido earning three nominations in various categories. These include “Feel” for Best Global Music Performance, “Unavailable” (from the Timeless album) for Best African Performance, and “Timeless,” his fourth studio album, nominated for Best Global Album.
In a public reversal of his previous stance, Samklef extended his congratulations to Davido via his Instagram page.
He expressed his commitment to praying for Davido’s success in securing all three awards, firmly believing that the singer will achieve at least one win. Samklef also appreciated Davido’s ability to stand independently, noting it as a shared trait between them.
He wrote, “This post is a special post for Davido only! As you don get 3 nominations I go dey pray for u make you win the 3. U must win something sha. And I also like the fact that u no send anybody. Me and you have something in common. Congratulations once more”.
