Samklef claims Banky W initiated his cancel culture
Veteran Nigerian record producer and singer Samklef, accused renowned singer and music mogul Banky W of initiating his cancel culture in the country’s music industry.
Furthermore, he said that because the head of EME also bullied his former signees, Banky W is remaining mute about cries for justice for late rapper Mohbad, who supposedly passed away after being bullied by his old record label, Marlian Music.
On Tuesday, Samklef made the claims using his verified X handle.
He claimed to have pardoned Banky W but chose to speak out so that others might be informed.
He wrote, “Banky W, the individual who initiated my personal cancel culture in 2012 with one of his friends in Soundcity…He is now a pastor lol.
“Fellow artists, it’s time to share your genuine experiences! Don’t hesitate! The reason many of them remain quiet about this matter is that they are aware of their own involvement. They were not just violent like Naira Marley!
“I have forgiven but I will still tell my story so that other people can learn.”
