Afrobeats Soundgod Runtown unveils release date for his new album

Runtown, the enigmatic artist known as the Soundgod, has officially announced the release date for his highly anticipated new album.
The upcoming project marks the fourth chapter in his Soundgod Fest series and is scheduled to drop on June 6, 2025.
In the lead-up to the album, Runtown has already given fans a taste with two singles: “Flow,” released in December 2024, and “Do Me,” which came out in April 2025.
This new album arrives nearly three years after his previous record, Signs.
Following a period of relative quiet after Signs, Runtown made a strong comeback with “Flow,” a track that revisits the distinctive sound that initially propelled him into the spotlight.
His recent work explores themes of vanity, vulnerability, and the curated excitement of luxury — reflecting a lifestyle that is both introspective and elusive.
What sets Runtown apart has always been his unwavering focus on carving his path and building a meaningful career on his own terms.
This upcoming album promises to uphold that ethos, allowing the music to speak for itself—a strategy that has defined his presence in the mainstream, with era-defining hits like “Gallardo” featuring Davido and “Bend Down Pause” with Wizkid.
Back in 2017, he made waves with the timeless smash “Mad Over You,” which remains one of Nigerian music’s biggest anthems of the decade.
With this new release, Runtown aims to reignite the passion of his fans while firmly establishing himself as the true Soundgod of Afrobeats.
