Douglas Jack Agu, identified with the name Runtown is one of Nigeria’s talented vocalists who has been one of the hottest promoters of the industry.
He is a blessed singer and songwriter, whose style of delivery ranges from Afrobeat, Afropop, R&B, and Reggae. Adding to these amazing qualities, he is also a phenomenal producer.
Descending to when the music star came into the spotlight in 2014 under the Penthauz imprint, he took the bull by its horn with “Gallardo” feat. Davido.

Forging ahead, Runtown ceased the world by surprise with his 2016 evergreen single, “Mad Over You.”
Unlike every other single, this one hit differently. It was a soft makeup of Ballad, R&B, and Highlife produced by Del B.
The song currently has a staggering 127million plus streams on YouTube as it emerges as Runtown’s highest views so far.
Not forgetting the Headies nominations and international recognitions the song bagged. More importantly, the positivity and strong influence it generated for the Nigerian music industry.

Then, in 2017, Runtown joined forces with South African rap smith, Nasty C for one of the most loved songs from the very first Coke Studio Africa sessions titled, Said.
It was a smooth combination of hip-hop and Afrobeat performance. The tune which sees the duo narrate their ordeals before fame has become one of the hottest inspirational songs from Runtown.
Still, in 2017, Runtown gave us another unforgettable hit dubbed, “For Life.”
Taking the configuration of Mad Over You, The sound god dropped in this solo love single. Quickly, it gained the desired attention and became everyone’s favorite.
Moreso, the banger was so loved that it found its way into Runtown’s Soundgod Fest Vol. 1 studio album of 2018.
