Ruger Allegedly Ditch Jonzing World, Starts His Record Label
Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known by his stage name Ruger, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who has launched his own record label, ‘Blown Boy Ent‘.
The news was made on Friday, January 19, 2024, via Ruger’s Instagram story. The musician mentioned his new record label, @blownboyent, in a short video that included a freestyle, hinting to an imminent single release under the Blown Boy label.
The name of the label is now included in the hitmaker of “Asiwaju”‘s Instagram bio. Fans are excited about this move even though Ruger hasn’t formally announced his departure from his old record label, Jonzing World. They are thrilled about the artist’s unique musical journey with Blown Boy Ent and can’t wait for his upcoming releases.
Ruger is a rapidly emerging singer who has penned several popular songs and never stops wowing audiences with his incredible voice and beat. After becoming well-known for the song “Bounce,” he inked a record deal with Jonzing World in 2021. Pandemic, his debut EP, was released in 2021.
Ruger’s number-one hit, “Asiwaju,” is the most streamed song on Spotify in Sub-Saharan Africa as of 2023, confirming its status as a hit song throughout the African regions.
