‘Rise and speak!’ – Spyro Sends Strong Message to Nigerians

Nigerian singer Spyro has issued a passionate appeal to Nigerians, including celebrities, influencers, and public figures, to rise, speak out, and demand accountability from the government amid what he describes as looming foreign threats and external interference.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the “Who’s Your Guy” crooner warned that no foreign nation has Nigeria’s best interest at heart, stressing that “they are not coming to save us but to destroy.”

Spyro cautioned against complacency and silence, urging influential figures to use their voices and platforms to push the government into decisive action.

According to him, this is not a time for posturing or neutrality, as the stability of the country affects everyone from entertainers to business owners and religious leaders.

“WAR in a country threatens everyone,” he wrote. “Every surviving person will be too busy looking for what to eat. No one will have time to listen to music, watch movies, go to church or mosque, or even do business.”

Spyro emphasized that influence only exists because of the people, reminding fellow celebrities that “without the people, no platform/influence” remains.

He also warned Nigerians to be wary of deceptive foreign narratives, saying, “I know it looks like a savior is coming, but the Devil always disguises as an angel of light. His actual aim is to steal, kill, and destroy.”

Concluding his message, Spyro called this a “critical moment” in Nigeria’s history, urging everyone — from entertainers to spiritual leaders — to leverage their voices to demand accountability and protect the nation from harm.
